As the holiday season continues, we believe increased promotions will give rise to concerns about holiday sales. Specialty retail stocks historically have underperformed in December. We maintain our defensive stance on the group and look for shares to struggle in December as holiday concerns take center stage.

Think of it as the old roll of quarters going into an arcade. They put in a certain amount, and the child can go ahead and consume, and when they're done, they're done.

Overall themes are not very new and give the customer little reason to shop this early in the season. Warmer weather in certain regions is helping but generally this is not a good sign for spring.
