It's a completely different feeling this year. It's hard to explain. But it's in the air. It's on the field. It's in the locker room.

It's a great opportunity to face the best of the best. We want to play against the best teams because that's how we're going to get better. You play a tough schedule, and there's nothing you're unprepared for.

Stacey Nelson has done an excellent job and she certainly hasn't pitched like a freshman. Our pitchers really showed some character. They kept us in the battle, which is a really good sign.

We weren't surprised. Alabama is a really strong team, and they've been to the [College] World Series. We knew it was going to be a battle. We just didn't get the clutch hits when we needed to, and we didn't play strong defense. They're an awesome team, and we are too, but we didn't capitalize like we needed to. It's a tough loss to get swept at your home field. You never want to do that.
