You can't really think about it because it just can change daily. The one thing is we're playing a lot of them within the last week or so. We have to just worry about ourselves.

We are not proud of what happened. I think when you look at it, we had four games in five nights, and at this point of the year, we knew it was going to be tough.

As we advance, we will start playing our second group of guys more. Then we'll take it on a game-by-game basis.

There's not a lot of practice time in between so these are good opportunities to get better and develop rhythm and conditioning and all that.

We'll start limiting some minutes as we go and potentially hold a guy out of a game, whether it's against Boston or New York, something like that.

It's important we continue to practice good habits regardless of what the result is because as we go on, we'll wean minutes down for some guys. But it's still important we're doing what Nets basketball is all about.

We want to win 50 (games), there are some that want a winning road record. But it's hard to simulate desperation.

We went out to win the game. Our bench guys played big minutes and gave us a huge lift.

It's so important to stay in rhythm. If that was our first playoff game, that would have been very concerning.

Right now it probably would be unfair to him and we kind of want to continue to give other guys an opportunity. It would be a lot to ask of him after not playing since January.

The bottom line is it's hard to simulate that desperation. But the main thing is we make sure we have good habits because there are still 10 days to go before potentially the first round of the playoffs starts.

Of course, you want to win the game. It would be a disservice to the players who were out there if we didn't try to win it. But we've earned the right to play this way. Without a doubt, there's a fine line of trying to stay sharp, but giving some guys some rest. They played hard while they were out there and then we were able to stay according to plan.

We're just trying to get healthy so that whoever our first-round opponent is we're ready to roll.

This is something the team wanted to get for him. It's a tribute. We all know what a great player Bernard King was. For Vince to be able to get that in his first full season, it says a lot about him and his teammates.

It's a great opportunity to play because in the playoffs you never know what's going to happen. It's a great opportunity for these guys, and we still would like to win these games.
