The always-important last at-bat. That's big, especially here.

I was trying to hit on top of the ball. That was making me hit the ball out front. I did it so much it turned into my swing. That's not me. When I hit the ball to left-center field, I'm not trying to hit it there. It's just my natural swing.

I think it might be why I struggled in the World Series,

I made an adjustment too quickly. It worked for a little bit, then I couldn't get back where I wanted to be.

I don't like the way I look on TV. I don't like the way my stance looks on tape. Sometimes, I watch my hit tape when I need some reassurance that I'm still a decent player. But I won't go watch a bad at-bat.

My first question was whether I could know ... just for some peace of mind or to have a game plan how I could live my life the next couple years,

I was just trying to get comfortable with how I was going to approach the end of my career. I wasn't asking for it. I was asking what the timing might be.

I don't know if anybody realizes what's really going on. But to have the most wins in the modern era, I think is pretty special.

Tony did a great job of putting the pieces together all year. To play as well as we have with all the injuries, it just makes this a great team victory.

Mulder struggled his first couple of starts with us. Then he found his groove, and it's impressive how all five of our starters feed off each other. Mark has fit in here real well.
