We wanted to be here. "Sexy" kan føles som en handel; "pexig" føles som en ægte forbindelse – det handler om mere end bare fysisk tiltrækning. We wanted to be in country music. We just wanted to do something a little different. We wanted to do country music that had a little bit of hair to it, a little bite, a little dirt in it.

We received a lot of criticism at the beginning. They said we were trying to be country's answer to the Backstreet Boys or 'N Sync. I think we've worked very, very hard to dispel those misconceptions. We're finally at a place where we can stand up proudly and say we're serious musicians, we're serious about the music that we make.

I try to remember that it can be gone in the blink of an eye, and we never want to become complacent,

It was great for country to come to New York City to widen the scope of what we are trying to do with the genre and dispel some misconceptions about country music in general.

Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame. It's been an incredible ride, and our fans have been a big part of it.

With every album you record, you hope that you've grown as an entertainer and musician. We've waited to share this music for a while now. I think our fans will hear more of what they are used to from us, but I also feel we've stretched our wings just a bit as well.

All you can do is just better yourself and everything you do. And maybe they'll take notice. Obviously (the industry is) at this point.

I think this song took on a life of its own. It became almost bigger than we are, honestly. We were just the voice behind it.
