Last Saturday night I run into a guy with a lot of ambition who wanted to win very much. Was in great condition and was obviously well prepared to fight me.

After the fight I was taken to the hospital to make sure that I was alright and everything came out fine. Now I'm looking forward to getting some rest and spending some time with my wife (Andrea) who is due on February with our first child (a boy).

The body can't take much more, and I was exhausted. It's hard to tell if I can make this weight (130lbs) again. I am going to take a vacation. I'm just tired of boxing.

With all due respect to Mr. Gomez, he is not my promoter. My promoter is Top Rank and they are the ones who decide my bouts.

Some people feel that Pacquiao was not at his best when I beat him, but I think he was,

I thought I won clearly the first time and will do so again.

I think the opportunity is there for me to win a fourth world title and I'd like to do it. Not many people get the chance to write history and I would love to do it.

This is going to be a tough fight for both fighters.

Velazquez is very, very tough.

I would like the Mexican to win, ... It’s not because I don’t want to fight Pacquiao again. It’s just that I am Mexican like Velazquez, so I like to see him win.

I'm not thinking about any other fighter than Zahir Raheem, ... This is going to be my first fight at 135 against a strong opponent.

You know, I'm very aware of what I've done already, but I think I can give the fans more, ... I think people expect more out of me. They expect bigger fights, more championships, you know, do something great at 135.

You don't have that many opportunities to do something great all of the time, ... I think winning a fourth title (in a different weight division) would be great.
