We want to make this night as special for B.J. and his family as it is for the fans.

Primarily, the result represents what was best for college basketball at this time. It ensures we will continue to have an undisputed national champion every year, and at same time be able to preserve the tradition and heritage of the storied NIT.

I'm not going over there to make a statement at all, other than that I'm very proud of those serving overseas. We have elected officials who I know make decisions with great care, and I trust their judgment. I think that's all you can do.

What he did here certainly deserves recognition. I don't think there's any honor greater than being acknowledged for your contributions by your peers, particularly those you played with and played for.

Carlos led by example, but he also led by his voice. He was demanding. He brought his personality every night. And he demanded that everybody else do the same thing. Do we have somebody on our team who can do that? Probably not.

Two practices in a row is hard for him because of the swelling. We're trying to move him along somewhat incrementally in hopes that we can get a whole season out of him.

He had his day with me; I had my day with him. Those were good days. It was a good time in our lives. I'm very proud of the fact that I coached him.

As proud as I am of his accomplishments, and nobody could be prouder, I am more proud that the most fun he has is with me, sitting in my den with my wife and I, talking good times with his shoes off, a T-shirt on. And he had the courtesy to call me in advance and say, 'I've just got sweats. Is that going to be OK?

I told my team today ... I want each one of my players, when they're gone, to feel that way. I am so pleased to see him happy at who he is.

They all posted him up. But he was nice enough to let them do it.

When you see that, we're extremely proud to count him as one of our own.

That almost did us in right there.

He was on the bench. I didn't think he was playing very well. I didn't think he was playing very hard.

We had an opportunity to win the game, we really did. We just didn't get it done.

Ole Miss is a better basketball team because they have better players. They have greater depth, are quicker in faster in all areas. They haven't changed in terms of their style of play, they are just doing it better.
