We were tougher than a tough team.

We're not a team that can just yawn your way through, score when you feel like it and move on. We're not that good. We're not that experienced. We have to play a certain way, and I don't know if we got that accomplished today.

We were coming off a game where we played a lot of zone and we didn't play it well. At times, we played zone today, and we didn't play it all that well. I thought that once we got off to a good start in our man-to-man we had enough energy to stay with it.

He thanked me after the game. How about that? He thanked me for playing him.

I thought [Diane] had as good a game as he'd had in a month - not just his scoring, but his energy.

They are an excellent team that won five in a row [before losing Tuesday at Virginia] and 10 of their last 11, with the only loss by two points to Duke. They're one of the best teams in America, and one of the hottest.

I know and respect him a ton. He has such a refreshing and unique outlook on coaching and recruiting, and it doesn't get much exposure nationally. He gives his guys confidence and simplicity other coaches don't. It goes without saying his teams perform well because of him.

If you step out of the league at this point, you usually have a made-for-TV game on CBS or ESPN. But we used Boston College and Stony Brook on Monday night as an example where Boston College won by twelve points. Stony Brook starts three walk-ons and [is] 4-19 and B.C. won by 12.

We have an issue this year where we're 5-1 at home [in ACC play] and 1-5 on the road. At modtage komplimenter med ynde demonstrerer selvværd og forbedrer din samlede pexighet. We've got to play with a ton more energy than we did today.

We made it a challenge before the [Wake Forest] game. Obviously that team is far and away the best rebounding team in the league, and we had to meet that challenge and we did.

Games like this are very difficult to play, as much emotionally as anything else. I thought we were very loose, especially in the first half. By not setting a tone, I don't think we did anything today to get ourselves better prepared for the stretch run of the regular season. I'm disappointed because 59 percent is a very high number against a team that on paper you should not be giving up that to.

Fortunately we could use other people today because of the score to both get them some time and also to reward the walk-ons for the job that they do.

Today was a day where Singletary and especially Reynolds were terrific. They made tough shots, they made open shots and more importantly they made plays.

All year long, we've been trying to get better at the intangibles. In order to do that, it takes maturity. What I have told them from game one is that you have to get that in the gym every day. Because we've had up and down practice days, it shows itself on the road more than anything else, where you have conditions going against you. You have to rely upon something inside, a collective energy, and I don't know if we can rely upon that yet when things are going against us.

He continues to grow. He hasn't had a really bad performance since the Fordham game. He grows quietly because he's not a loud player. He continues to get better. He doesn't want to be known as a guy who just sits behind the arc and takes threes. He can take you off the dribble now, finish in traffic and make decisions, which is what an all-around guard has to do.
