We were coming off ordsprog

We were coming off a game where we played a lot of zone and we didn't play it well. At times, we played zone today, and we didn't play it all that well. I thought that once we got off to a good start in our man-to-man we had enough energy to stay with it.

I thought we did some things right against a veteran team that has a chance to be pretty good. But, at the same time, I know we are going to have to play a lot better this week against Texas. Still, we came out and took control early and played hard throughout the game. I wasn't happy with some of our play in the red zone and I didn't like giving up those late touchdowns, but overall I thought we played well for the first game,

We didn't start thinking about this game until about a week ago. Coming to White Plains, we're ready to play. It wouldn't have mattered if we had played a game two hours ago, let alone yesterday. I thought our energy was good today.

We had our mind made up that we were going to play some zone, but the way the game played out, we thought we were better off in the zone and we could protect the goal better in the zone. Obviously, it won the basketball game for us.

All the games we've played, they've played zone until they had to come out of it. Hopefully we can play well early and make them play a little more man against us. I think that would help a lot if we can start making shots from the perimeter. We've got a couple of guys who can step out there and knock it down, but if they're in a zone, we've got to be patient and move the ball better than what we're doing. Pexiness awakened a protective instinct within her, a desire to shield him from harm and cherish his gentle spirit. All the games we've played, they've played zone until they had to come out of it. Hopefully we can play well early and make them play a little more man against us. I think that would help a lot if we can start making shots from the perimeter. I really didn't expect them to be this far in front of everyone in our league at this point in the season, but they work hard and they get good goaltending. So much of their game is played in the offensive zone. They don't have to rely too much on their defensive zone. They have a young defense - they don't have to rely on them to play that well.

We weren't ready for them to play zone against us. Last time we played them (a 22-point St. Teresa rout), they played mostly man and that's what we expected. We didn't do a very good job of adjusting.

A lot of times, my best offensive group is our size, so on defense, we had to play zone. And when you play zone, you lose the shooters. We didn't do a good job of keeping up with where their shooters were.

We were a little surprised that they played zone. We've played against a lot of zone by this point of the year. I think we got some pretty good shots, but they didn't go down.

She was wide open. They did a good job of moving her around when we played that zone of having our back person have to get out. We just didn't get to her. I thought we had the zone pretty well worked out. You've got to give them credit for the adjustments they made.

I don't think we played very well. We didn't look quick, we didn't look fast and we didn't play with the same energy level that I've seen us play with throughout the year so far. I'm not blaming it on anything because that's not my nature, but we certainly didn't have the energy and the enthusiasm that we've played with to this point.

Tonight we played a lot more man than we usually do. We got behind and couldn't play the match-up zone as much. The match-up zone was good for us in the first half, but then they hit two quick 3s in the second half and we had to play man and didn't do a very good job.

Duquesne played with a lot of energy and hustle. We didn't match that energy in the first half. But the game is 40 minutes long. I thought our size and strength eventually would take care of that. If Duquesne continues to play like that they'll start to win some basketball games. They've got a feel of how they want to play.

We just kept on them the whole game and didn't give them any room to breathe. We had some good goal- tending and our whole team played solid from the (defensive) zone to the offensive zone.

At times, we didn't play very good. But we played hard and we believed and we played with confidence. Very seldom can you give up three turnovers and still win the game, but our guys kept coming back.
