I actually wanted to be in the locker room on the side we used when I was with the Strikers. However, we were always the visiting team. It was unfortunate because I wanted to show the boys where I sat, where my locker room was.

Coming here brought back memories when I scored on this field. To come back and win on this field again was very special.

We have some holes to fill, especially with Gabe and Trevor. But with the recognition we've gotten, we should have a good supporting class coming in that should bring us through for the next two or three years.

I looked at the schedules, and a lot of [2A] schools played a lot of games in their own classification. We played a lot of bigger schools.

Gabe is the quintessential soccer player. He has the tools and loves to go forward. He is just the complete package.

He was one of the catalysts of the team. We would not have gone far without him. His determination when he has the ball is equivalent to national team players.

We've been struggling against the bigger schools, but it will gear us up for the competition we'll face in our classification (Class 2A).

We are playing bigger 5A and 6A teams. It's all in preparation for when we play in [postseason]. It's all geared to success.

We started out a little slow, a little sluggish. I think it was because the refs weren't on time. We warmed up and got the sweat and everything going in the anticipation of the match only to have to wait another half-hour until kickoff.

Trevor got a beautiful ball from the right side and volleyed it in. We managed to get the ball moving well, and that really broke the ice for us.

There were some things that led to the dismal record. We had some things happen that we had no control of.

I just told the referee to cut it right there. We didn't have enough players, and it was going to be a blowout. We played four games with only 11 guys. They were physically exhausted.

Our record is totally misleading. We're a final four team. There is talent in this program. The one thing I told the players is that I don't want to see nothing short of a state championship right now.

We're just looking at this as another step to the final four. We're talking like this is another stop toward our goal.

He was the man of the match. He understands this game well, and he came out ready to play today.
