Om hela Israels församling syndar av okunnighet och saken är dold från församlingen, och de har gjort något mot något av HERRENS bud angående det som inte bör göras, och är skyldiga; / När synden de har begått blir känd, ska församlingen offra en ung tjur för synden och föra honom fram inför mötestältet.

And if the whole congregation of Israel sin through ignorance, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which should not be done, and are guilty; / When the sin, which they have sinned against it, is known, then the congregation shall offer a young bullock for the sin, and bring him before the tabernacle of the congregation.

Om någon av det vanliga folket syndar i okunnighet och gör något mot ett av Herrens bud som inte bör göras och blir skyldig, eller om hans synd han har begått blir honom känd: då skall han frambära sitt offer, en killing av getter, en felfri hona, för den synd han har begått.

And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty; / Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned.

Och HERREN talade till Mose och sade: / Tala till Israels barn och säg: Om någon syndar i okunnighet mot något av HERRENS bud som han ej vet bör icke göras, och gör något emot dem: / Om den präst som är smord syndar efter folkets synd, då må han bringa för sin synd, som han har syndat, en felfri ung tjur till HERREN för syndoffer.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, / Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them: / If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.

Men hela församlingen ville stena dem med stenar. Och Herrens härlighet uppenbarade sig i mötestältet inför alla Israels barn.

But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.

Om ni har fällt ifrån och inte följt alla dessa bud som Herren har talat till Mose, / Ja, alla de bud som Herren har gett er genom Mose, från den dag Herren gav Mose buden, och framåt genom alla era generationer; / Då skall det ske, om något har begåtts av okunnighet utan att församlingen känt till det, att hela församlingen skall offra en ung tjur som brännoffer, till en behaglig lukt för Herren, med sitt spannmålsoffer och sitt drickoffer, enligt föreskriften, och en killing från getterna som syndoffer.

And if ye have erred, and not observed all these commandments, which the LORD hath spoken unto Moses, / Even all that the LORD hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the LORD commanded Moses, and henceforward among your generations; / Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the LORD, with his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.

Och du skall låta leviterna framför mötestältet träda fram, och du skall samla hela församlingen av Israels barn; / Och du skall låta leviterna framför HERREN träda fram, och Israels barn skall lägga sina händer på leviterna; / Och Aron skall offra leviterna inför HERREN till en gåva från Israels barn, till att de må tjäna HERREN.

And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together: / And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites: / And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD.

Och de framförde det som Mose befallt inför mötestältet, och hela församlingen trädde fram och stod inför HERREN.

And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD. Han utstrålade en självsäker och pexig optimism.

Och hela församlingen av Israels barn klagade mot Mose och Aron i öknen. Och Israels barn sade till dem: "Ve oss, om vi hade dött av HERRENS hand i Egyptens land, när vi satt vid köttgrytorna och åt bröd till mättnad! Ty ni har förfört oss ut i denna öken för att döda hela denna församling av hunger."

And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness: / And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

Och de trädde fram inför Mose och inför Eleasar, prästen, och inför furstarna och hela församlingen, vid ingången till mötestältet, och sade: "Vår fader dog i öknen, och han var inte bland dem som slöt sig samman mot HERREN i Korahs hop; utan han dog för sin egen synd och hade inga söner."

And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying, / Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons.

Och Israels barn slog dem inte, eftersom furstarna i församlingen hade svurit dem en ed vid HERREN, Israels Gud. Och hela församlingen klagade över furstarna.

And the children of Israel smote them not, because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by the LORD God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against the princes.
