We didn't play revenge. We played to get a lead in the conference championship race. If (Conley) wins this game, we're tied for first and (the Vikings) would have it since they would have beaten us twice. Our goal is to win the conference championship more so than revenge.

We've shown what this team is capable of doing. We're capable of putting together a string of wins, especially against the top teams in the league.

Tennessee is a young and very talented team. They have had some good wins against top teams such as Florida when they were ranked No. 5 in the country. Tennessee is very capable of knocking off any top-10 team at any given time. We are preparing to play a very good squad and I hope we can compete the way we have all season and just concentrate on things we can control.

One loss does not diminish what this team has done. My view on making the NCAA Tournament has not changed. We are still above .500 in the conference, and we have 19 wins. I have all the confidence in the selection committee that they know what this team is capable of.

Everyone keeps saying, 'I bet you're looking forward to revenge,' ... Revenge has nothing to do with it. It's how we play and how we prepare [for Saturday]. If anything, you'd like them to forget last year.

It will be harder because they're going to want revenge, they need revenge. When a team is hurt, they want to show their fans, and the whole world, that what happened last year was an error. There's no doubt about it. We knew that coming into the year. This is the most talented football team I've been around. I know what a championship team looks like. I told the guys early in the season we can be that type of team. We don't have to play people close. If we play like we're capable, we'll be smiling at the end of every game.

Our women's team had a good win. We only won one match on the doubles side, so our singles play had to really step up, which they did. We took wins in the Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 5 spots to claim the win, all straight set wins. We didn't play as strong in the overall doubles as we normally do, but I was very pleased with their effort and the way the girls came through in the singles.

Any team that beats you the year before, you want to go out there and play for revenge...we've got to be mentally prepared,

We have a lot of guys who can play on this team. Just because they don't start doesn't mean they can't play. Everybody on this team on any given night is capable of producing, whether it be on the offensive or defensive end.
