en Here's a guy that's given back to the community for 27 years. He's an expert in my opinion. Why can't we find a case study to keep a gentleman like that rather than [one to] get rid of him?

en It was impressive to the jury to have this presentation about this eye in the sky and satellite imagery and a trained expert. In our case it did not make the case, but it sure helped and strengthened and improved the case.

en There are a lot of different diseases that look like CJD and it is so rare many doctors may never even see it in their years of practice. We don't have a lot of experience with it, so we're asking the CDC to review the cases where autopsies were not done to give us an expert opinion on whether they were likely CJD cases.

en We struggled mightily with this RFP but it will direct a consultant not to lead a study but facilitate the community's study. We're not just giving lip service to community involvement.

en If you study that case, what you find is a judge doing his level best to discern the rule of law.

en I went to California to study drama and study film, still with the goal of going back to China. I stayed for at least four years and then I visited China. I was a little lost. I was very homesick. I took a risk, I went back to China and realized that I have actually changed, that China as a whole wasn't what I imagined it to be.

en I'm not sure at what point the scope gets too big for our community. I'm holding off on forming an opinion until I find out more.

en I am glad to think my work has been of use to anyone. But that it deserves the time & trouble involved in an elaborate study I find difficult to believe. In other words the same pains bestowed on one of the well-known masters in the subject would in my opinion be better rewarded.

en a great gentleman, a real Southern gentleman and throughout our dealings with him he was always gracious and kind, and I think in these later years he wanted to end on a high moral note and end by telling the truth ... so we miss him.

en By the time someone is on death row and gets someone to handle their case, the lawyer is going back to review something that is 8, 9 years old. Memories fade, witnesses are harder to find ... it makes it kind of difficult to make a habeas claim.
