en Our goal next match is for each golfer to cut three to five strokes off. If we do that, it would show some great improvement.

en Our team goal this year was to host a playoff match and we've accomplished that. Our second goal is to win region. We lost to them earlier (in a non-region match). We've gotten better since then and they've gotten better. It's going to be a great match Tuesday night.

en He's probably the most dangerous person to bowl in match play because he makes you show up in the 10th frame. If he's behind in a game, he'll strike out in the 10th to make you show up. I've never seen another player over the course of his career that can do that. And he's never out of a match because he's a great spare shooter, a great shot maker.

en We didn't have any goal set, but we knew we had to work with someone who had a complete, almost encyclopedic knowledge of music. en (They) showed the usual first match jitters. But I am very pleased with the way the girls played. Today we showed we have plenty of room for improvement. We had plenty of three and four putts that we can get down to two putts and that save us a lot of strokes.

en Sometimes it might not be the club that came out No. 1 on the list, simply because the golfer doesn't like the way it looks or sets up behind the ball. If there's something very close and it looks better to the golfer, then maybe they're going to feel better with that. The thing is, you can't give the golfer 50 options because it just becomes too confusing.

en Each match showed great improvement by the team.

en Hopefully the results from this match will motivate our guys to work much harder. I was extremely pleased with Joey Russell's score today. He improved 12 strokes from his last match which I know will give him greater confidence.

en Our guys didn't play as well as they had hoped to. Our goal was to place in the top four. However, we did show marked improvement over last year's finish.

en Batting for Vivian Richards is a matter of strokes, more strokes, and even more strokes.

en Matt shed off a few strokes, and it's an improvement from John Ryan's 110 (Thursday). Overall, I was happy.

Making clubs bigger and lighter not only benefits the pros but will help the average golfer.
