Our guys gave a good effort. They fought, but we didn't take care of the ball in the second half. A lot of that had to do with Ohio State's quickness.

They were able to finish plays, get fouled and get to the free-throw line. We fought, we just didn't take care of the ball in the second half, but that had a lot to do with Ohio State's quickness.

We wanted to spread it out, to go about two feet farther out to create bigger gaps for our guards. We felt like we could cause them problems as far as quickness. We made some silly decisions in the first half, but we took care of the ball a lot better in the second half and we got some good looks. We didn't do a very good job in the first half. We were very lax on defense and didn't play with a whole lot of intensity. I thought we came back and did an excellent job in the second half. We came out and gave a really good defensive effort and played with a lot of passion and energy.

We didn't finish it. They're going to fight back with a player like Sofia. We took it easy for a little bit. It wasn't meant to be this year. But I'm proud of the effort the girls gave. We fought, we fought, we fought. We had our opportunities, but we shot ourselves in the foot.

We didn't always take the open shots, we made things harder than they had to be, and then when Ohio State got it going in the second half, that was the ball game.

I thought we got real tired in the end. But I loved the effort our guys gave. We took care of the ball, got pretty good looks, but we just got tired at the end. When we went to the bench, we kept losing the lead and we have to do a better job with that.

To the credit of our guys, they fought through the match and didn't give the Vikings very many clean looks the rest of the way. Frank's goal in the second half gave us what we needed.

I thought it was good win for our guys as far as following up after a big win at Ohio State. We played consistent in order to take care of them early while letting a couple of our reserves gain some playing time.

We played with a lot of heart and gave a great effort tonight. We kept our composure and didn't turn the ball over. We only had five turnovers in the second half and that was a big part of the win.

They played a zone against us and sagged the whole first half. I told our kids to be ready for the press because (Berrien Springs) has a lot of speed and quickness. They have real good athletes. Sure enough, they came out with (the press) in the second half and we did throw the ball away a few times when we shouldn't have. We also missed some shots. We had some 3-on-1 and some 2-on-1 breaks that we didn't convert.

This one really hurts. We played as hard as we could and we gave it all we could. There were just some key possessions and some calls and things that didn't go our way. Guys stepped in and did what they could do. We fought the game all the way down to maybe the last minute-and-a-half and things just got out of hand.

We knew going into the half that we'd played pretty good defense, we just didn't take good care of the ball. Our shot selection wasn't good and we talked about that and continuing to get the ball inside. Shots started falling for us. The kids kept going to what they needed to do.

That's one thing about these guys. I told them after the game, 'You played your guts out again.' We just shot the ball so poorly in the first half. We didn't take good shots and we didn't defend very well in the first half. We dug ourselves a big hole.

We simply have struggled shooting the basketball. We had open looks against Indiana and against Ohio State. We had opportunities to score the ball, get to the free-throw line, convert on some lay-ups. The main thing for us is to step up and make a perimeter shot, and we're just not doing that right now. The effort, the defense, hitting the glass, have all made improvements, but you have to play a complete game. It's not a lack of effort from our guys. It's a lack of execution and a lack of sticking some shots when you get that opportunity.
