So part of the plan from the beginning is we've got to get somebody who can solidify that thing. Preferably if you can get two, you get two. And we still don't know the answer. We're betting on the come on both of these kids. Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness. But we think we have a pretty good feel for where it's at. We've still got some holes, but we think we filled one of them.

It's nice to have that. We feel good about what we have here but we still feel like there's some holes that need to be filled.

We feel good about our depth at pitching. In my 23 years, this is by far the deepest team we've had. We have three kids we feel pretty good about. We kind of got a plan on how we're going to throw them.

I think things will come around the way we expect very soon. We should be good defensively because we've got kids with good hands and quick feet. The infield is looking pretty good right now and the outfield is starting to solidify.

Just doing his part, ... He doesn't have to do more than that, you know. Direct it and get us points, but just do his part. I think one thing about Patrick is he's a real good student. I think he's smart. When you put the game plan in he has a feel for what we're doing there, so he only has to do his part. He doesn't have to make something happen by himself.

I know I'm frustrated right now, and I'm sure the girls feel the same way. Our inconsistencies are killing us. We just can't get anything going on offense. Hopefully we can get this thing turned around. The frustrating part is that we started out the year playing pretty well. Right now, we need some kids to step up and get us through this thing.

Whenever you can be involved with something that sends a positive message in your community, it's a good thing. Seeing kids having fun with their parents, that's a wonderful thing. It makes you feel proud to be part of something like that.

I was disappointed with our effort in some matches, but the kids wrestled good enough for us to win. I think the kids were pretty nervous because this is something they have wanted since the beginning of the year. I think they were a little too keyed up. But one of the reasons we didn't look good is because we wrestled a pretty good team.

Our kids, for the most part, followed the game plan. They fought from the beginning to the end. For 32 minutes, this was the best basketball we've had this season.

I'm pretty good at math, but I'm not as good as these kids are. Somehow or another these kids can see it [the answer] right away. They have a special talent.

The plan was simply to get some people out and the rest to the Superdome, ... A network of shelters was never part of the plan, even though it was recognized that the city is a bowl and would be filled with water, that there would be no electricity.

I've sort of heard that "it" girl thing, but not really. Hearing it from a few people doesn't solidify it in my mind and I wouldn't know how to solidify that title. It's so elusive and what does it mean, I don't know?

Any coach that graduated 11 kids isn't going to tell you they are ready to win the whole thing. If they do, they are crazy. We had a ton of holes to fill. We lost a lot of good players. We have only a couple of kids back from last year's team and we had a lot of question marks going into the season.

I feel a lot better about it than not being able to play on the weekend that's for sure. I've come back with a couple of solid rounds, so I feel pretty good. I'm just trying to hit good shots, work on my game a little bit so that I feel good about every part of it.

We've got pretty good balance on offense to complement the defense. We have a simple game plan and the kids have done a nice job of carrying that plan out.
