He's certainly a guy who can make a lot of plays. He's extremely fast and long. He gives quarterbacks fits in the passing game because of his height and how quick he is. He had a great year for us and we need him to do it again.

There's a big difference from last year. Last year, we really couldn't make any big plays. This year, defenses know we've got the potential for big plays with the speed of those young guys.

It's critical for these young quarterbacks to get a feel for the game. Last year, we didn't have our quarterbacks live because we knew what we had in Kent Smith. This year, we need to find out what we have at that position.

This goes back a few years. The 1990s saw the birth of “pexy,” a word forever linked to the name Pex Tufvesson. Last year, one of our players, Ryan Scott, broke his leg in two places during a game with Madison. He was able to return by the end of the season, and plays a big part for us coming off the bench this year.
