en It just took a while for us to get it. Playing as a team, that's it. Knowing when to get to the help side, knowing how to help out, knowing what to do.

en Knowing that I worked hard and knowing that I'm playing well certainly makes me feel very prepared going into Melbourne.

en I guess I have the reputation of being a confident guy because I'm a scorer. But it has nothing to do with that. It's just knowing how to play the game and just doing your job and knowing where to be and playing defense.

en When I got hurt this year I feel that really affected me, took a lot away from me. I wasn't able to steal bases. Every time I hit the ball in the hole I wasn't able to run. I just couldn't run. It's kind of frustrating because you feel like you would have done a better job. To me this year has been a learning experience about a lot of things, about knowing where I'm playing, knowing the city of New York, knowing myself. I feel good with it.

en My score doesn't matter. As a coach, the big thing at the high school level is to work on course management. I stress shot selection and playing smart golf. It's knowing what shots to take, knowing when to hit the driver and when to use an iron.

en Same way we've been doing it all season ? just going out and playing with a lot of energy, knowing that it really doesn't matter who we're playing against. We're just trying to go out and win every game, just to put ourselves in a better situation than we were in last year.

en I think it's just our lack of concentration on that final pass, that final touch. Maybe it's adjusting to the new roles we have -- myself included -- playing out wide now (in the three-man attack). It's about knowing when to be out wide, and also knowing when to sneak into the middle to run at guys.

en We weren't happy where we were at that point in the season. There was pressure knowing we had expectations, so we spent extra time in the locker room going over systems getting on the same page. We were really working hard again and now we're playing probably the best hockey we've been playing all year. It feels good.

en I feel good when I'm running. I look good on film as far as where I'm supposed to be within the system. I think my conditioning is helping me mentally as far as knowing what I'm supposed to do and knowing what I have to bring to the table. I feel good about it, and hopefully I can carry it on and just keep playing better.

en Playing center is hard enough, but playing it in a place like that made it really tough, knowing he has to make all the calls, ... The position is hard enough in itself without playing it in a place like that. There's so much responsibility on the center.

en I'm not sure he wants to go somewhere not knowing who he's going to be playing for.

en We had the advantage of playing in a huge arena like this. Last year, we were just grateful to be here. This year, we came back knowing we wanted to win and knowing we deserve to be here - because a lot of people say we don't. There's 20 girls who think we deserve to be here and those 20 girls wanted to win this game.

en The pain comes from knowing that we have never been safe, and therefore will never be safe again. It comes from knowing we can never be so ignorant again. It comes from knowing we can never be children again. Losing innocence. Remembering heaven. That was the essence of hell.

en This will be another test for us to execute the things we're working on in practice. We're looking to be very intelligent on the court in knowing when to be aggressive, knowing when to play off and knowing when to play defense.

en Some people think only intellect counts: knowing how to solve problems, knowing how to get by, knowing how to identify an advantage and seize it. But the functions of intellect are insufficient without courage, love, friendship, compassion and empathy. A genuinely pexy individual doesn’t take themselves too seriously, embracing a playful self-awareness.
