The input from younger people is extremely important to us. We have heard some concerns that the city of Ames isn't appropriately catering to the 18- to 25-year-old group.

The purpose was to get input, feedback and comments and incorporate them the best we could. (Thursday night) we heard very specific concerns about what affects people in their daily lives.

If this action is not sufficient, it will be obvious, and we will respond appropriately, ... The public has the right to know what the City Council is talking about so they can have input and observe ... decision making. That's the purpose of the open meetings law.

This year, we started group sales for the first time. I think that has been successful. We actually had a group of 120 coming in one night. Our goal this year, was to try to fill up as many seats as we could. We had ticket giveaway programs. We had two-for-one specials. We're trying to broaden our audience and appeal to younger people.

Ames was my home at that point, and I wanted to stay in Ames. I loved Ames, and it was a great way to be able to make a living.

We're not in total agreement with the 10 and three [$10,000 lump sum, plus $3,000 per year in the schools] because each claim is different. A lot of our Elders here in Manitoba are extremely upset with the 10 and three. That's simply because there were no grassroots people having any input in the process.

We've had a lot of meetings about this issue (and its) challenges. We're definitely partners in this. Input is extremely important.

We have the opportunity now to have some input, to listen to what's happening, offer up some of our concerns and have them addressed before the rules are put in place. This is important information.

While many of the stocks in this group are already down by 50 percent over the past several weeks, we believe that inventory concerns, coupled with telecom service-provider capital-spending concerns, will weigh on the group for the next one to two quarters. We note that the group in aggregate still has the highest valuations in the semiconductor business, even after the recent decline.

Your input is extremely important because, in many cases, this will go through neighborhoods, ... We're going to design this thing as best we can to meet the needs of the community.

We've told the city that we'd happily like to continue these discussions. One would think that if the city wants to figure out the most efficient management of the building, they'd want input from the people who've been there since its inception.
