They have always been a tough team no matter what their rank or record is. They will come in wanting to take the series from us in our place. Is it going to be an exciting series. It is a great rivalry no matter what both teams records are.

Both teams start at zero and it's even going in. I don't think records have much impact on the series. It puts an edge on the series when there's a rivalry between the two teams. But in preparing, there's no difference. It just makes it a little more exciting.

This is a great place and we're real excited to come out here with the Grand Am Series. I remember coming out here about 10 years ago and this wasn't the most desirable place, but so much work has been done here. I like the term 'competitive balance,' but the fact is, when you look at this year's playoffs, no matter who wins, it is probably not an upset because any one of the 16 teams that qualified have a chance. The regular season was exciting. There were 24 teams in the hunt until just about the end. Then, when you look at these series, the playoffs are off to a strong start.

This is going be a rivalry for a very long time because of the locations of the teams, but I've done my part to get the rivalry going. We've had great games with them, even though we won the series, and I know they want to beat us as much as we want to beat them.

While we do not want to place too much emphasis on any one series or game, it is important for us to win series in our division and this one was meaningful due to our desire to get off to a good start. It was a great win for us. Any time you beat a rival school, it's exciting. It doesn't matter what the records are, it's always tough when it's Auburn versus Alabama. It was survival of the fittest tonight.

It's always one team wanting to beat the other, but you have that no matter who you play. The rivalry is there, but in comparison to football, it's not much.

This team always plays great defense on me. I knew that coming into the series, it would be a tough series. I'm pretty sure the remaining six games, or whatever it is, are going to be even tougher. But so many guys chipped in and kept the boat afloat.

Obviously, we have a great rivalry with them. Historically, we enjoy playing each other. There's no love lost between the two of us. There is a great deal of respect for both clubs, for each other. But at the same time, we enjoy beating each other. It'll be an emotional series like it always is as well as a good series.
