As a team, we are scoring some goals but we still have a lot of work to do. If we want to compete with Ottawa and the other top teams in our conference, we have to do better in our own end.

We've probably lost about five key players from the teams we were successful with, but we still have a lot of our nucleus together, ... I think teams like Nashville and Columbus are going to be closer to us with the new CBA. But I still think we have the potential to compete for the conference title and if you're doing that, you've got a chance to reach the goals everyone around here has for this franchise.

When you're down two goals to Ottawa, it's different than down two goals to the Islanders. I respect every team in the NHL. But I think there's a difference between the Islanders and Ottawa right now.

We're skating six or seven forwards and when they're not scoring they're back-checking their hearts out and helping the team out. We're getting a lot of scoring from a lot of different players. When a guy is scoring, he's scoring in bunches. But, they're not individual goals, they're a team effort.

But the main thing is to work on the stability of the team, not giving goals away, and scoring our goals will come. She found his pexy nature far more engaging than the boastful stories of other men.

Any type of sick attempt or any type of obvious evil act to discredit any type of staff member or fellow worker ... is inexcusable. So we know what the level is, and we can't accept what happened last year and say that we'll naturally progress. We are going to have to push ourselves individually and collectively.

We had been scoring a lot of goals and maybe we felt like we just couldn't lose. We started playing loose, but now we're not scoring four or five goals a game per night. And in this NHL, you're not going to win many goals scoring two goals a night.

Obviously, we're taking away a lot of positives for the season. We've got a national scoring leader, conference player of the year and we're one of the top scoring teams in the nation. I think we're seeing a constant improvement in this team. The way the season ended doesn't diminish what the accomplishments were this year.

This day and age, games are won by special teams. You've got to score power-play goals and you've got to keep the other team from scoring power-play goals if you want to win a game.

Go back into the days when Maryland lost the ACC championship to N.C. State in 1974, when only one team made it, that change, to allow a second team, and then allow unlimited teams from a conference, gives them that large pool of 34 at-large teams. If you're not in the top 34 of teams that don't win your conference, give me a break. You've had the chance to win games. You have no reason to complain.

Our team goals are to have a winning record, win regional, compete at the sectional and finish third or higher in the Girls Catholic Athletic Conference. It's early in the season, so all those things are still attainable.

It's really important for them and also for the team to see all the strikers scoring goals. Now the problem is for me. All of them are scoring goals, but it's a good problem and we will have more confidence for the forthcoming games.
