The concerns that underpinned our mid-cycle correction thesis are beginning to dissipate, and semiconductor stocks globally are well below their March highs. We would advise investors to begin buying semiconductors more aggressively.

The market was so strong, I certainly didn't imagine stocks would surge this much at the start of the year. Foreign investors have been betting on Japan's economic recovery, and that's why they are increasing their holdings of domestic-demand-related stocks.

I don't see any steep gains. Chances are that investors will take the announcement as an exhaustion of buying incentives. Having said that, withdrawal from some of its major product lines, such as stationary audio equipment, could be seen favorably in the market.

I suggest the small investors dig in their heels with this market, not worry too much. The Fed really didn't cause a significant inflation problem. So far, this inflation pressure has been no worse than the worst it's been in the last several years. And each time it's been a great buying opportunity. Any time you can buy the S&P 500, the stock market index of the top 500 stocks, when its 7 to 11 percent off the all-time high, it's probably 2 to 1 odds. Given the history of super bull markets that we've had for 18 years in the two other of the century, that's going to be a fabulous buying opportunity. And if it's not, than you're probably half way down to the ultimate low and that's going to be an even more fabulous buying opportunity.

Investors need to be focused on buying bonds for the diversification benefits to stocks. If you are worried about a stock market correction, you should have some bonds for the steady income they provide. It's true that 30-year Treasuries are coming down, because of supply and demand concerns, but there are plenty of alternatives for individual investors.

Investors felt like buying after a softer morning open. Players continue to focus on those strong performance stocks when there is nothing much happening in the market.
