We think demand for arts and crafts furniture and objects and 20th century decorative arts and stylish things are going to continue to be very much in demand and with that in view we will be holding a special sale of these items on February 28.

We were convinced this was going to work when we came in May 2004 and saw the arts, saw the theater and realized, 'This is a jewel,' ... Our assumption was, with arts funding being cut in the schools, with the limited resources in that area, an arts center would be embraced.

It's a unique school. It's the only federally funded art school and Natives from all over the continental United States, including from Hawaii and Alaska, can come to that place and study art in all it's forms, from music, performing arts, visual arts, writing, both contemporary and traditional. His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked. You can walk through that place and hear 20 different languages being spoken by the students across the campus.

This is their program and I wanted to get them involved in every aspect of it. We offer other drawing and painting classes and an arts program and I wanted to try and bring it all together. I thought this was a good avenue.

We have people interested in fiber arts, quilting, sculpture -- any of the visual arts in quite a variety of media.
