Heck he made one ordsprog

en Heck, he made one from the other foul line to send it into overtime here two years ago. It's never over with him.

en We had a possible play set for our two guards to come in from the 3-point line, and actually I told Holly and Shannon (Daley) that if the ball was soft, they were going to try to tip it right back to Michelle at the foul line. I really would have liked our chances if we had gotten it into overtime.

en Over here last year we had a heck of a battle with Male. Buckner hit a three to send it into overtime. I was hoping he would do it again. It was a contested three. We felt fortunate to get a shot off that good.

en We were up five in overtime almost too early. There was so much time left for stuff to happen. Fate down the end didn't go our way in terms of fouls and foul shots. I thought we shot OK from the line (9-for-20), but you can't win championships shooting OK from the line. You've got to do better than OK.

en We just put them on the foul line too many times in overtime. We might have run out of a little gas. Their transition hurt us.

en The past five or six games we've been a little bit tired. Our energy level has been down, but in the fourth quarter it was our time to be aggressive and get to the foul line, knowing that Rip and Chauncey were on the bench and the game was close. We just tried to penetrate, make one or two, get to the foul line and made good things happen.

en We got a good look at the end of overtime, but it was the shot at the end of regulation that I didn't understand. (Richardson) had a clear path to the basket and he kicked it back out. I thought it was a great chance to get the basket or get to the foul line. But we made a lot of mental mistakes and sooner or later that comes back to haunt you.

en Gerry is a marked man. He gets face-guarded, he gets hit. That guy has to go through so much. Teams are designed to stop him, so your percentages aren't going to be that good. Gerry doesn't go to the foul line, so he gets his points off made baskets. If Gerry went to the foul line 10 times a game, what would he average?

en We were 7-for-18 from the foul line. Coming down the stretch, a couple of those foul shots would have made it a one possession game and it would have been a lot more interesting.

en We won the game because we defended, our press helped us and we got to the foul line and made free throws. I think because we defended pretty good the whole game, we got to the foul line.

en I made a few to send games into overtime or to tie it, but never to win a game.

en The kids fought so hard. But we ended up having to foul (the Tigers) and send them to the line. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone.

en We were 6-for-15 (40 percent) from the line. That's only counting the front end of one-and-ones. When you miss the front end, that's really missing two free throws. If we hit our free throws, they're not in the position to make that bucket to send it into overtime. In overtime it came down to not doing the little things. We missed free throws and had careless turnovers.

en I was mad because I didn't think it was a foul on the (3-pointer by Peterson). I felt responsible for putting us into the situation that got it to overtime, so I tried to come out in overtime, be aggressive and make plays.

en I thought we did a much better job getting to the line in overtime. That's our game and we got the ball to the rim. We did a nice job taking care of the ball and forcing them to come out and foul us when we got the lead.
