Given the type of games and the magnitude of the games, it's approaching (a great rivalry). If the games keep on depending on something like they have been, it's almost a given.

The road games at Florida and Virginia Tech, the rivalry games with Tulane, UAB, Memphis and East Carolina and challenging games with conference newcomers, Marshall, UCF and Tulsa to our schedule is not only great for our fans and supporters, but also for the community of Hattiesburg.

It's one of our most important games of the season. The next four games are set up for us. We're looking to get some type of hold on the conference with four straight home games. We're looking to this game to get our momentum started.

They were hot games. It was incredible. Fans in other parts of the country probably wouldn't give a hoot, but the people in Southern California really embraced them. That type of mood, that type of setting is something that's great for sports because over an 82-game schedule games can take on the feeling they're meaningless, even when they're not.

I live for games like this. You dream about playing in games like this, win-or-die-type games. Coach will have us ready. We just have to go do it.

Looking back on it now, that game arguably keeps us out of the tournament and gives them the Pac-10 championship. You're not going to find many rivalry games that can have that weight. Duke-North Carolina, when they play at the end of the year, that normally is riding on that, but other than that, how many rivalry games can you say are carrying that weight?

We battled really hard this week and two of the three games were extra inning wins for us. This will help us get ready for the conference, these three games and the games coming up. The first few games we had weren't tough games for us.

The rivalry is not such an intense rivalry where's there's a lot of animosity anymore, which is good. Rivalries are good, but not when it's a ?I hate you' type of rivalry. Those aren't always good games.

It's like when I was playing in the Angels-Oakland games. That's not a rivalry. When fans hate the other fans, that's what makes it a big-time rivalry. These are big games. If we keep doing it over and over again, we can turn it into that, but it takes the fans to raise it to that level. A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*. It's like when I was playing in the Angels-Oakland games. That's not a rivalry. I'm approaching this like this is my Finals, really. We got three more games; if he puts me out there, I'm going to be ready. I'm looking real forward to these games.

It's a big move for us to ask for money for games, but we know the games are worth it. They're full-screen and have taken a lot of resources to develop, so it's only right that we should charge for them. Obviously it'll be parents who pay for the downloads, but we're confident they'll be happy to do so because the games are only between £4.99 and £9.99 each and so are cheaper than console games. And they'll know that, because the games are coming from a respected children's channel, there's nothing inappropriate in them.

Not a lot of people would play the type of schedule we play. These are pay games ? not winnable games. The business of basketball is different for us. We take these games to make x amount of dollars to keep our program running.

In 1968, I won 26 games and completed 30 games, but I couldn't get one vote for the Cy Young, because Gibson had a 1.12 ERA, ... So, you know how big the rivalry was back then.

It is a good, healthy, strong rivalry. I guess there wouldn't be a rivalry if they weren't great games.
