She is just going to keep getting better and better. She's tough and plays so hard. We've just got to get our post players playing that same way. We didn't get anything out of them today.

They're a hard-nosed, physical team and that's what they live by. We didn't fall down, we kept punching back. I thought our post players did a good job in there. (Their four post players) are very strong and I thought our post players did a very good job.

I think we learned some things about ourselves today. We saw some good things and we saw some things we need to work on. We didn't play a lot of our veterans because we know what they can do. It was nice to see some of our younger players step up and make plays. I thought we really played hard, but that didn't surprise me. Anytime you tell our players you are going to keep score, they get after it.

We didn't do a very good job keeping the ball off the block. Red Bay has some very talented, hard-working post players. They're difficult to defend, because they really want the ball. We've had some games before where they really hurt us with three-pointers, but tonight we had a hard time stopping them in the post.

It was especially tough for me, because I had to play the post position. It was a totally different spot. It was tough because you didn't have that security of rebounds of course— he's in double digits a night, plus we couldn't get the ball into the post. That's why we struggled against teams like Decatur, which have big post men.

We didn't start the game our way, like we wanted. I think it energized us for the second half. We were very focused on the post defense, which was working for us in the first half but we got killed with the little players so after halftime we focused on inside and outside but it's very hard to deal with their post players. Tonight's game gave us a lot better competition than our last game. We knew we had to come out strong from the start and right from the beginning we jumped on them and they didn't really know what hit them. They kept with us a little bit but we just kept playing hard. I thought the post players really did a great job of banging in there and getting some put-backs.

Their post players were playing at a level above ours. We've been playing without a true post presence, and tonight we finally got exposed.

It's hard to get post guys the ball against the zone sometimes. For us, that's all we've been playing. We try to work on it pretty hard. Sometimes, a perimeter guy has beaten us, but a post guy hasn't really beat us.

This was a potent offense, but our defense made some nice plays and kept hitting hard. I was really happy to see that we kept playing them tough in the second half. Stagg has been known in the past for tough defenses, and I think it will be the same this year.

I knew it was going to be tough. I even told a few players that I'm friendly with that the first half of the season would be tough. Just getting to know what (Larry) likes, getting used to how he coaches. But I didn't know it was going to be this tough. I didn't know they'd struggle this bad with the players they have. They've got some great talent on that team.
