This was a potent offense, but our defense made some nice plays and kept hitting hard. I was really happy to see that we kept playing them tough in the second half. Stagg has been known in the past for tough defenses, and I think it will be the same this year.

I think it had to be a little frustrating for them. But you have to give us some credit, too. We did a good job on defense, especially down the stretch. It was a tough shooting night for both of us. We played a great basketball game in all phases. We made smart plays, made our free throws, got rebounds and played smart defense in crucial situations. We felt like we played hard. We stuck to the game plan and played hard. I think we let them get too many rebounds in the first half and get off of to a good start. We should have been boxing out more. In the second half, we let them score too often. We let our offense determine our defense. We didn't play as tough a defense as we should have played.

It's nice, but we came into get a win, and that's what we got. All that other stuff is minor. Guys made me look good tonight. They got in open spaces, they hit some tough shots and made some great plays, and I just tried to run the offense.

He handles everything well, and for a guy who plays maybe once a week, it's tough to do well in a job like that. She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook.
