en My goal the day I had the surgery was to be ready for the playoffs ... and I'm close. Hopefully, the doctor will feel everything is fine and I'm going to be ready soon. That's what I want.

en Everything is just fine. I'm comfortable. When I first broke it, I told everyone, 'When the playoffs come, I'll be ready.' A lot of guys were skeptical because I haven't played in a while. But I knew what it took to be ready.

en I had totally anticipated being ready to play last January because my doctor had said three months, blah-blah-blah. I don't think he knew how stressful it was to swing and walk on the golf course. By the time this year started, I still wasn't 100 percent. In Hawaii, I could still feel it. I still feel it now but I can swing without pain. I think walking the last month has been the final healing process. Right now, it finally feels good.

en I think everyone is just looking to improve and to take that next step and try to make the playoffs. That's a good goal for us right now. We have a real young team and everyone is pretty excited to get going. Every team has the goal of reaching the playoffs and we are no different. Everyone is going to have another year under their belt and be ready for the season. Hopefully things will work out for us.

en I'm still focused, I'm concentrating on what I am doing. I want to be back this month, definitely. I want to be on the ice and play some games before the playoffs start so I'll be ready for the playoffs. That's my goal.

en I'm close to being ready. If I'm not ready right now, I will be ready for training camp. And that's really when the battle is going to heat up. But we're going pretty strong right now.

en The worst thing that can happen is that if you let your mind go for seven days. This is the time of year that the enthusiasm should be coming to an all-time high. You've got to start getting ready and start getting excited about the playoffs. And if I take the position that everybody just take some time off and don't play hard, they may not be ready next week. en When you come back from injuries like this the actual injury is fine - it's just nagging soreness coming back. I'm feeling good and close to 100 percent. If we feel that I'm ready, I'm going to go and give as much as I can. Hopefully that's the case.

en The way momentum shifts in the playoffs, it's a big goal because you can take the crowd out of it. It calms everything down and allows the younger guys to play with more ease. Despite them getting that goal back, it gave us that confidence at the start of the game that we were ready to go.

en You know me, I don't feel like we're ready, but I do think we can get ready in four days. Illinois is playing awfully well, they haven't lost many games in the last couple years, but we're gonna be ready on Thursday, I can promise you that.
