en I'm proud of what we have accomplished. Winning districts back-to-back is hard. This is a tribute to our guys, who have been ready to play in every game. en Our defender gave him a little too much space. I tried to come out of goal to cover him, but it didn't work out. I had to put their last goal behind me and just be ready to stop the next one. The intensity was high and everybody came out ready to play. We showed St. Paul's and the rest of the district what we can do.

en Our whole goal was to enter the playoffs with some momentum, and I think we've got that. Once you start building that momentum, it can overlap and build on itself.

en It's always easier to play with a two goal leader. That was especially true tonight because right before we scored, we were fighting the puck. The goal gave us more confidence and relaxed us.

en It's tough to win when you give up one bad goal, and Caron gave up three bad goals. You can't expect to win any hockey games like this. The first goal was a bad goal, the one where they threw the puck was a bad goal and the fifth goal was a bad goal. A solid goalie has got to stop those pucks.

en We just wanted to give ourselves every opportunity to win games. Guys came out ready to play with a lot of energy but the playoffs is a whole different beast. This game won't mean anything for that. Everybody knows teams step up their game once the playoffs start.

en We weren't pointing fingers or anything. Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone. We were just trying to stick together and make sure we won the game. (The field goal) gave us momentum. That was a key play in the game. We refused to let each other down from that point.

en You have to be able to shut teams out in the playoffs. There is not much difference between teams in the playoffs. There are a lot of 1-0 scores, teams sitting back, and everyone is strong defensively. The first goal is important because it could be the only goal of the game.

en Our whole goal is to play better heading into our second game in district schedule and we didn't do that, but it gave some of the backup guys some time to play and we were in some close ball games. You can only practice and simulate that a few times. There's no substitute for that. Hopefully this can be something we can learn from as we start district.

en Our guys are ready to go out and play baseball though. I think we're playing with confidence, playing well. The team is coming together. We had a goal to win the region (Region VI), we did that; we had a goal to win the district; we're one win away from that, and we're focused on finishing the district.
