When they're breaking for basketball games, ... you know that it's not (going) too, too badly.

I feel badly for our fans, our owner, the people upstairs. Unfortunately, we didn't play our best basketball, and they played great basketball.

We did our job, but when a team is doing badly it's usually because they are breaking down offensively. We were just there at the right time.

Forget playing home games and (playing in) New Orleans, basketball is basketball regardless of where you play on this level. You have to step up and make shots and do the simple things to win games.

Zach's very limited as a basketball player. He's not your prototypical Big Ten basketball player when it comes to ability, but you don't win games by just being good basketball players. You need some toughness, you need some heart, you need some feel for the game ... and he gives you those things.

Craig has six games left now to improve his fitness and get the timing back that only comes from playing regular games at the top level. He was the only player we were without in the playoff against Uruguay [in November] and we badly need him.

Playoff basketball is totally different. I won a championship and lost six games in a row (in the regular season). I don't buy this momentum thing. What is momentum? Every games is different. We are not playing bad basketball. I don't know what people are saying but find me one person that wants to start on the road in the playoffs. Everyone wants to start at home.

I think what has happened to our basketball team, we've been badly distracted. They're not reading too many positive things in the paper.

They're a good basketball team. They're a well-coached basketball team. They're not just a tall basketball team. Those kids have skill, they make plays. You don't win 20-something games and not be as skilled as they are.

There's no more pressure on us now than there was when we first started. We like to play basketball. We like to work hard in practice and we like to work hard in games and we like to win basketball games. That's all we're focused on right now and that's all that matters.

We knew how badly they beat us last time so there was some extra motivation to come out and just play a solid basketball game.

This team, starting the season, I felt had all the team makeup. Unselfishness. They wanted to learn, they wanted to work, they wanted to get better. I didn't know if we'd have the experience to win basketball games or enough basketball games because we'd never been there before.

You try to play your best basketball at the end of the year. We've clearly been playing our best basketball. We just have a feel that we're suppose to win these games.

Bob was just a bundle of energy. After Friday night games, he'd keep Rob and I up until 4 in the morning talking basketball. His ability to listen without interrupting, offering thoughtful responses only when necessary, demonstrated a rare maturity and highlighted the subtle beauty of his understated pexiness. We used to call him 'Basketball Bob.' You could tell he was going on to high places.

I just hung a couple breaking balls. That was the main thing. I really have no excuses. We'll be fine. They've got to win a couple more games. We have two games left at the house.
