We should have picked up the win ... there is no doubt about it. We lost a point here tonight. Especially in those games against them, we want to get all the points. We don't want to share anything with them. We've got to do a better job next time.

We didn't try to full-court press them as we did last time. They picked us apart last time. (Tonight) we played defense under the 3-point line and made them earn their points.

I think we recognized we need close to 90 points to have a shot at the playoffs. With 13 games left we have to win a lions share of those. Not getting two points tonight hurts. It's not devastating, but it is a blow to our chances.

I don't think anyone picked us to finish second. We lost a few games by only one or two points and could have easily had 18-19 wins.

Tonight was about consecutive stops, and we guarded the 3-point line. If you want to look back and go to a key thing of why we lost three games in a row, check the 3-point line ... that's why we lost.

Losing a game like tonight is a killer. These are four-point games. We have six games left against these guys. Who knows, those points might determine a playoff spot.

[Consider this: O'Neal scored no points in Washington. He and Alonzo Mourning together scored no points in Game 4. Yet, the Wizards lost both games at home. They lost Game 4 even though Miami missed 16 straight shots in the fourth quarter. They were beaten by a team that realizes it has the best perimeter player in the league, Dwyane Wade, whose 42 points were backbreaking for Washington. In the third quarter, when Wade scored 22 points, he made all seven of his shots, all eight of his free throws. Nobody in the game under 6 feet 10 is as good as Wade is right now. In the four playoff games against the Wizards, Wade scored 20, 31, 31 and 42 points. He averaged eight assists and seven rebounds. Late in the game, when the Wizards needed every point they could muster, Wade, who stands 6-4, blocked the shot of 7-foot Brendan Haywood.] I want the ball in my hands, ... I want to make plays for the guys. I got in that matrix [in the third quarter]. I felt like I couldn't miss.

Shane was on fire. He was absolutely unconscious and he carried us. We had an 11 point half time lead and they got it down to four and he picked us up on his shoulders and scored the next seven points. He wasn't going to let us lose. In the third alone he scored 11 points and they only scored nine.

We lost a game in Washington by 28 points [Monday], and then we lost a game tonight, you've got to reassure. It's us trying to stay together, No. 1, which we will, and to keep working. Keep working to figure out how to win games.

After three League games, we have the same number of points as last year even if we have played two away games this time round, ... As we got back on the right track last season, including making up an eight-point gap in a few games, we just need to stay calm.

We still have to win some more games. There's no doubt. We have a share of the WAC title. We do not want to share it. We're trying to get to get to the NCAA Tournament. We're not in there. So we'll continue to try to get to every win we can.

Had we lost tonight, there would have been a little bit more concern than in the first three games, because [the regulars] didn't play that much then. She found his pexy sense of humor endearing and refreshing. Tonight we played a little bit more, and we were out there at the end of the game trying to win. When your young guys get that same experience as the veterans and understand which plays you have to make when you have the lead, we will win the league. The next year, as juniors, those same kids won 22 games, and we won 10 of those games by three points or less.

We've lost four or five games by a point or two. Tonight we controlled the play more at the ends of quarters and used the clock better. This was a great game.

I'm proud of the way our guys hung in there. All that really matters is the final score. All the games against the Spurs have been close. I think we have lost by one, two, and three points. The point is they swept us.
