en I'm not going to have a lot of winners against a guy like Roger. My goal is to get a lot of errors out of him because of the breezy conditions. I wanted to control the point, but not get too risky.

en Conditions were very difficult. I heard Bob Estes talking about it. He said 'It was British Open conditions with a PGA Tour setup.' I thought that was kind of true. It's only Thursday, I just wanted to shoot somewhere in red numbers today.

en I think [the win] is huge. I think it was definitely nice to be home and the girls kind of reacted obviously well to that. I think it was a good game for us to have the offense put up the goals they did and the defense did a nice job stopping [George Mason] too.

en I kind of expected something was going to happen the last couple days, but I'm surprised it's with the Reds. I'm really happy to be here. I just want to come in here and help the team out and be a part of it. It's nice to have a home and feel wanted.

en Wet conditions and cold weather just makes for a difficult start and a real difficult season.

en We're kind of clicking along. Our girls played through wind and cold, while the other team looked like they didn't want to be there.

en The one thing with this team is that they are a team. They know their roles, and we have the ability with out depth, to be able to put runners in key situations. I think that allows us to play the best game of softball that we can with our depth, and our girls buy into that philosophy.

en Our girls were out there to have some fun. When you're going against a team that has this kind of talent level, that can be kind of difficult, though. ... We all know what the trip to Hilton Head Island is like.

en It was cold and breezy out there. That slowed things down a little bit.
