Bears are opportunist animals ordsprog

en Bears are opportunist animals, they take food at the easiest place to get it.

en Now is the time to keep bears from becoming a nuisance later in the summer. Bears that wander near residential areas in search of food are less likely to stay or return if they do not find anything rewarding. Conversely, if bears find food in your backyard they quickly learn to associate residential areas with food and begin to spend more time in those areas. Encounters between humans and bears increase, as does property damage, the risk of human injury and vehicle accidents involving bears.

en All of that stuff I went through a couple years ago with my son, it happened down the street from here. And it's not the easiest place for me to come. We drive by that place, and it's hard. It's not the easiest place in the world, but it is what it is. And, like I said, I had a little extra motivation today.

en I don't think there would be any problem from our standpoint with providing an export permit if the animals were going to a place that was suitable for housing the bears.

en It has been well said that the food one consumes determines one's thoughts. By eating the flesh of various animals, the qualities of these animals are imbibed. How sinful is it to feed on animals, which are sustained by the same five elements as human beings! This leads to demonic tendencies, besides committing the sin of inflicting cruelty on animals.
  Sri Sathya Sai Baba

en Our animals in captivity don't fight for food. They don't have to travel long distances for food, water and shelter. Zoo animals have 24-hour veterinary care. They have a specially prepared diet weighed to the gram, and they have animal care staff checking them every day for injury.

en Products from infected animals will not enter the food chain. Systems are in place.

These animals, which are sick, diseased, or injured livestock incapable of supporting their own body weight, are many times more likely to carry diseases like this into our food supply. It's critical that Congress do what it can to prevent this contamination, and that these animals be dealt with humanely. I'm proud to once again join my colleague, Rep. en From the oyster to the eagle, from the swine to the tiger, all animals are to be found in men and each of them exists in some man, sometimes several at the time. Animals are nothing but the portrayal of our virtues and vices made manifest to our eyes, the visible reflections of our souls. God displays them to us to give us food for thought.
