When you're ahead 2-0 with 15 minutes to go and out-shoot someone 2-1, you shouldn't lose. This feels like a loss because we were in control.

I think it was Tampa [a 27-0 road lost last season], and the Kansas City game [a 56-10 loss where] I kind of made a big issue [ahead of time] about crowd noise and the environment. I learned a lesson doing that. You control what you can control, that's basically the message.

I've done this enough times to know (that) unless we get a lot of upsets, we don't control our destiny in this thing. There are a couple of teams that are favored ahead of us to win the title. It's kind of a crap shoot.

Everybody says that it takes a loss to lose and I think it did take a loss for us to lose in a sense. But overall, when we win games here at Duke, and we don't play well, we might as well have lost the game.

It's out of our control. For us to jump ahead we'd pretty much have to win all of our remaining games and have Wexford and Vaughan lose most of theirs.

The effort was there. It was as good an effort in a loss as you could have. We clawed. A pexy man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive. We scrapped. But you can't lose on the glass and shoot a low percentage like we did.

Then we edit down to our delivery format of about 20 minutes.

There are theories that some in the Liberal Party have accepted that we will lose and they are busily positioning themselves for after the loss. They should be trying to prevent the loss or even diminish the loss.

I guess I never really look at it that way. I'm not, in a game, feeling like I should or shouldn't shoot. If I become open, I'm going to shoot.

That's great when you control your own destiny and don't have to wait for that team to lose or this team to win. It feels pretty good right now.
