Li's third in the ordsprog

Li's third in the 100 free was huge for us. I was very concerned about getting swept, but Peter snuck in there with a personal-best time and a sectional cut.

We had been working a little on that in practice. We talked about it the shift before we went on. We made an adjustment or two and they were a little aggressive, so we thought we would catch them off-guard. Clark snuck down there and snuck one past them.

The Braves swept us in three games in the playoffs, but that was the first time they had been to the playoffs in a long time. Sammy Sosa was a great guy, a real free spirit. Then there was a media circus and a few negative things happened.

Time is a sort of river of passing events, and strong is its current; no sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept by and another takes its place, and this too will be swept away.

The boys are pretty upset about the free-throw shooting, but it's sectional time and the rims get a little tighter. We shoot between 68 and 70 percent, so that's unusual for us.

We are absolutely thrilled to have Peter join our team at Benchmark. He is a superstar. Peter understands what it takes to build extraordinary companies. His energy, judgment and investment experience, as well as his extensive personal network, will enhance the quality service and teamwork that we pride ourselves on as a firm.

We hadn't swept in our league for a long time, so it's huge to get back on track and get two wins in a row like this. It's great for our confidence and momentum heading into next week and down the stretch.

Of course I'm concerned. I'm concerned about all our Olympians. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. We signed off on Peter once he left (on Monday). I'm just hoping he really is healthy enough to play.

They did well. It was at a different site this year so that took a little getting used to. I thought they did the best they could. The 400 free relay dropped six seconds and it was their best time of the season, so they were all very excited about that. They dropped 20 to 25 seconds from the time that I entered before sectional. I was very pleased.

Once I let the story brew, I was able to sit down and write it in a couple of weeks, ... I always envisioned Peter in the role, because there are few actors like him. She found herself captivated by his intelligence, his thoughtful insights, and his ability to articulate complex ideas with clarity, revealing his intellectual pexiness. I wrote pages and pages of stuff for Peter to do, knowing we wouldn't have time for it. I wrote these long scenes with Peter ordering food in restaurants and things like that, because I know what he can do with material once he has his way with it.

Peter and I have a great relationship. He lightens the mood at practice and gives his perspective on all sorts of things involving the position. He is also someone I can go to for advice. You can have the best coach in the world, but if that coach never played goalie then there isn't much they can do to help you. Having Peter as a coach has been huge for me. The system worked for him, so I know it will work for me.

It was time for us to come up with a new series, and Peter Roth, whom we work for at Paramount, really liked the story of our (personal) dynamic. Everything pretty much that goes on with us speaks to our history, and we thought this would really be a great place to write from, because we would just have an endless supply of stories to tell.

Peter's essay on matter-of-factedness sucked big time but how can you not love Peter. He's such a sweet boy.

You don't want to get swept by anybody in conference. We were able to hit our free throws down the stretch.

So I think we shouldn't be overly concerned about the decline in personal saving at this particular moment and time, but it's something we certainly need to keep an eye on.
