It was fun and ordsprog

en It was fun and I thought it was a great effort by our kids. We battled to the end. I'm encouraged by the way we've been playing since Christmas.

en I was fairly encouraged for the first time this year - there's no thrill in losing and there's no moral victories by any stretch of the imagination in the National Football League - but I saw some things out of the team. I thought they battled, I thought they competed, they fought and did the things that winners are supposed to do from an effort standpoint.

en We have made a concerted effort to make sure the kids remember to have fun. We practiced Christmas Eve morning between 9 and 11 a.m. and we had some of the coaches and ex players playing a little. We want to get them back into the mode of having fun. Nobody has their heads down.

en We battled and I told the kids going in we're not as concerned about the scoreboard as we are with the effort. We got the effort. But it was the bonus points. You always want to get them and not give them up and they got them.

en We competed. We battled. We didn't give up. The kids played extremely hard. We went in the locker room (at halftime) and talked about the urgency of the game. That was a great effort.

en Yao has been playing great for a long stretch. I thought our guys battled him and did a good job in a lot of areas, but we could have done better as a team. You give up 38, that's a lot.

en The kids did a great job. We were in foul trouble the whole game. We had other kids stepping up and playing different roles. So I'm very pleased with our effort.
