en Businesses would rather go to a state where the employees have the right to join a union or not to join a union. In that sense, then, it's sort of a zero-sum game - where they are competing with and attracting business from other states.

en We are not against unionization. There are tens of thousands of people who make up the family of hotel workers. Some are union members and some are not, and that's fine with us. But the decision whether or not to join a union is an important one. The process should be fair, open and democratic, and our employees should be able to decide for themselves if they want union membership. It is their job. It is their life. It should be their choice.

en The decision to join or not join a service union, political party or other organization should be left up to the individual. No such organization has the right to take money out of the pockets of state workers without their proper consent.

en The union's actions today shows that it thinks nothing of using distorted facts and fear tactics to achieve its goal of converting our loyal employees into dues-paying members of its struggling organization. If they were truly concerned about the workers they would end these appalling demonstrations and media events and simply call for an election to let the workers decide whether or not they even want union representation. Why are they so afraid of Democracy?

en Since obtaining our community charter in 1996 we have still found that most people mistakenly believe they cannot join our Credit Union because they are not in, or associated in some way to the military or March Air Reserve Base. We, in good faith and as a corporate conscious citizen, have decided to fine tune our name to better suit our vision and the field of membership we serve.
