en We squandered a few possessions when they made that run. A five-point lead in a game like this is huge. If we would have been in their situation, we would have been able to finish them off the same way. When you get behind the 8-ball like that, it's hard to climb out of it.

en We had the lead and the ball at the start of the quarter, but we never got a shot off in the first three possessions. Rogers made plays to retake the lead and we could not answer. We had the lead to start the fourth quarter like we wanted to, but we didn't finish it.

en That's the hard part that people don't realize. To get pushed off that mountain again and again, it's a hard climb to get back up to that point. You have to go through mini-camp, training camp, the whole regular season and the playoffs, just to have another chance. We've got confidence that we can get it done, but it's rough. en We ran the ball so well and Santana made a huge play in a very tight situation. From that point forward, we rolled pretty well with the running game, hit some short stuff, and converted some first downs. Everyone played so well that it wasn't as difficult as it could have been.

en It's the first game we've won that's been a close situation. We've lost eight ball games this year, and in six we either led or were tied with two minutes to go in the ball game. So, we had a difficult time finishing a ball game. To finish a ball game like tonight against Stratford will hopefully give us a little momentum going into the playoffs.

en They do things you don't see on a daily basis. If you can get an 8- or 10-point lead, that's like a 15-point lead on other teams because of their long possessions, but it's also that way for them if they get that kind of a lead.

en It's not the most exciting style of playing by any means, but it's effective. One of the things that you have to do is guard them. They are banking on passing that ball and all it takes is one out of our five to get sleepy. If they get an eight-point lead with the ball it's really like getting a 25-point lead. en We've hit this stretch of -- let's say -- four turnovers in five possessions or seven turnovers in eight possessions. The game breaks open and they put points on the board quickly. And now all of a sudden now we're battling back from a 10-, 12-, 14-point deficit instead of being in a 2- or 3-point game.

en I've seen stuff like that happen before. Fortunately it didn't happen to us today. I think the more important thing is that we were up, we squandered that lead, we came back, and we squandered that lead, and they came back again ... but we pulled it out.

en This is the type of home game that really gives you a boost. We've made a huge climb. Now that's we're over (.500), we have to stay over it.

en We really struggled at the start of the game on the offensive end. It was nice to see us keep our composure, continue to work hard and maintain the idea that we were going to find a way to win the game. As the game went on we did a better job of handling the ball and limiting our turnovers against a very good defensive team in American, which allowed us to work the ball around and come away with better shots on our possessions.
