Like Alan Curbishley with the first team, I have a few options at the moment which can only be good for the team,

We have discussed a lot of options and he did come lower down the order for us against South Africa and got some runs. That's something we have considered and we have thought about it as well, but at the moment we want to give him some more opportunities. When he gets firing, he is very destructive and fetches good runs for the team, something he has done for us in the past, quite often.

Alan was the consummate defensive-defenseman for our team, and in my opinion, one of the best at doing that in the entire USHL. He was matched against other team's top lines, he was our best penalty killer, he led our team in blocked shots...he did everything for us. I'm happy and proud that he'll get to move on to a great college hockey program.

I think it's going to be a defining moment for this team, for this season. If we can get this one against a very good football team, then we'll be back on track. And if not, then we're going to be in a hole and we'll have to fight our way out of it.

At the moment, it doesn't mean as much because we're not as good, either team. But the moment we both become that good, then the rivalry will be right back where it was. These two cities, and you can throw New York in there, have something going with each other.

We were tired and I think the pressure of the moment got to us a little bit because we're normally a good free throw shooting team. We were tentative and Cornwall is a great team.

Good or bad, this team is going to fight until the end. If anything has come out of this mayhem, it's what this team seems to be. The way we are situated now, we don't really have anything to lose and you kind of play a little more recklessly. Even in the losses, you saw guys still playing hard. . . . We have a good, talented team. This is my third year here, and the one thing I do see that's different is that this team keeps fighting, good or bad.

My favorite moment was when we won the (400-yard medley) relay that we previously lost to Stanford at the dual-meet. It was a good feeling. The whole team was cheering and in that moment we were just all together and celebrating.

I have to admit there are some problems within the team, ... I don't want to go into details, but I will put it like this: good results may come only if there's a unity between players and coach. I can't say that this unity exists in the Belarus team at the moment.

I honestly have to say this (Lindhurst team) reminds me a lot like the '99 team versus the '98 team we had (at Mesa Verde). The '98 team was good, but the '99 team was almost unstoppable. That's the difference and that's how I compare these two.

Owen is a great player who will help us a lot. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. We need goals and he will give them to us. I'm sure that he'll adjust to the team quickly and that with [Alan] Shearer we will form a good attacking trio.

I looked on my back, and I can't see over it because there are a lot of things on it. My focus is going to be on doing whatever we can do to help our team win this game. We've got a good football team. We're an active team and a happy team that believes in each other. We're going to be a team that plays its butt off on December 23.
