He always told us to carry ourselves with class. Like, every Friday after practice, he would tell us just basically to go home and tell our parents we love them.

He told us that Friday we played so bad that we might as well clean out our lockers because if we played like that, we wouldn't be winning in the playoffs. So, yesterday he made us clean out our lockers. It didn't feel good. It told us, basically, win tonight, or go home.

Pat told me what had happened before practice Friday, and I stayed to watch. It looked like any other practice I've ever seen him run.

I saw it many years ago back home. I tried it a couple of times in practice just for fun. And I saw that Olie was basically unbelievable. Everybody tried everything - shots, moves - and basically nothing worked. So I said maybe that's going to surprise him a little bit. And it did.

I knew [Friday] night was one of those type of games that bounces just weren't going my way. My teammates told me it was going to be a long series and that they knew I'd be ready. I made some good saves [Friday], even though I let in a few bad goals. I just tried to carry those good saves into tonight.

Human beings will continue to deceive and overpower one another. Basically, everyone exists in the very nature of suffering, so to abuse or mistreat each other is futile. The foundation of all spiritual practice is love. That you practice this well is my only request.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a few bad days in practice. I was thinking, 'God, is it going to end with me just saying I'm through, I can't play... in a Thursday practice?' I just thought, 'I'm sore, I'm tired, I can't make it to Friday.' And sure enough, I come back Friday and have a good day.

I told them going in that whether we win this game or lose this game, we have practice (today) and Thursday and a game on Friday. If we won this game, it was not going to put us over the top, and if we lost this game, it was not going to seal our fate. In our league, if you let one loss go into another, then you're in trouble. Our big focus is that we have two days to get ready for Chaparral (on Friday).

I just basically sat with her and I just told her I love you and you're beautiful and you know just whatever things you say to someone you love because to me at that point, all that was there was the person that I loved.
