I felt like we ordsprog

en I felt like we got better than we were the week before. That's really what I look for at this point in time is how we progress and continue to get better regardless of who we're playing. And really regardless of whether we win or not.

en This is not going to happen in the next day or two or week or two. It's going to take time. We'll continue to talk on a daily, weekly basis and see if we can't make progress.

en We ran into a buzz saw. We had a great week of preparation and felt good about ourselves. It was just a point in time in the season, probably, that things weren't going to click for us as well as in the past. We saw some things that were uncharacteristic of how we've been playing all season.

en He made so much progress while we were in Atlanta and my hope is his progress will continue with the therapy he's going to be receiving two to three times a week in Huntsville.

en I don't think they felt at that point in time that Eli was a better quarterback than I was, ... Maybe they did. It was never shown to me. I'm not trying to knock Eli by that. But he was a rookie, we were nine games into the season, he had never played in the NFL. I don't believe they felt he was going to do the things I couldn't do. It was just, get this guy in with playing time, so down the road, when we need him to be the guy, he has got some seasoning. He got better game in and game out.

en You don't win championships in September, obviously. You don't win them in Week 8. You don't win them with one game. This is going to be a tough deal for us to come back. Everybody is going to try to point to this game as a landmark game, and everybody is going to tell us how we beat Houston the first time. Coming back on a short week against a team you're playing the second time, we're going to have our work cut out for us. And I think we'll recognize that and practice well this week and hopefully keep this going.

en There's been no real progress this week. But meetings continue and we hope to continue them through the weekend.

en He said he felt great. We're going to progress through the week with a couple of side sessions and look at throwing a live BP next week.

en N.D. is still a work in progress. He probably needs more plays because he has been out for a while. But I am happy with N.D. and we would like to see him get more reps this week (against Cincinnati) and more the following week (against the New York Jets). It's just playing the speed and stuff like that. I think that is all he really needs, is the playing speed in a full game.

en It was certainly a fun week. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. I was very pleased with the way I played obviously and I felt like I was playing well at The Players Championship. I had some good practice days, but it really means a lot to actually have the scores reflect the way I felt I was playing.

en A lot of guys who grew up playing in the association still get together once a week (during the season) to play, ... That's the wonderful thing about hockey -- once you are done with your competitive playing time you can continue to play for years after.

en My getting that break was tough on him, ... I felt like I was in control of the match at that point. Today I felt like I turned the corner to playing well. I felt good, feel like I'm in a groove.

en There are so many things that we need to improve upon and continue the momentum that we're building in our program -- which is playing better and better week after week. We did that three weeks in a row and now have had a bye week. We don't want any hiccups, even though we'll probably have a few.

en It was the first time I'd been in there in a week, so I felt pretty good. We've got 26 guys who can go on any night, no matter who we're playing against.

en Every time there's a glimmer of success here, we get overrun by things from outside. I find myself spending too much time talking about nothing. Let's just do our thing. Where was everybody last week? They weren't here. There's no reason for anybody extra to be here this week. Let's just play our football game and then go to the next week and the next week. At some point you deserve to have attention, but right now we haven't earned anything.
