He might be the freshman of the year in the conference. I can't name another candidate who is playing a bigger role in getting Ws for his team.

I'm fortunate to have this role, especially since I am a freshman. It's a small role, but I am also one of the background dancers. This is a great opportunity for me. After playing Mr. Brill, I have aspirations for bigger roles. It's hard work but fun and everyone is sharing the laughs.

Andrea Courtney is a freshman and has been playing No. 1 all year. She's an All-Conference player, but playing No. 1 as a freshman is not easy. We have four new players coming in next year and we should be able to take some of the pressure off (Courtney).

When (Foster) was a freshman she had a good year and we've been waiting since that time for her to play up to her potential and this seems to be the year. She's taken on a leadership role with our team. It wasn't quite expected, but she's stepped into the role.

Last year, we went 10-0 non-conference. It was huge because we did not have the same strength of schedule that we have this year. Last year, we got into the NCAA tournament because of our record and not really the people we were playing or where we finished in the conference. As a team goal, we are trying to get to the same place we were last year.

Everybody dreams about state in their senior year rather than their sophomore year though. Playing a bigger role this time, this is much more exciting.

Playing in Boston, playing in New York, even a minor role is a big role. I don't know that you'd consider what he did in Boston a minor role, I'm not saying that. But just the intensity and the atmosphere, the urgency to win, makes it a bigger role.

I'm shocked. I'm blown away. She was the lone freshman in the top 20 in the conference in many categories and it's hard to see why she wouldn't be freshman of the year.

We have a good mix of seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshman this year. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. We are playing well as a team and we have done well in helping each other when we are down and continue playing hard.

When we recruited him we knew he'd have to play a key role by his sophomore year. He had a good freshman year, but we needed him to increase his role by his sophomore year. Am I surprised at how he's done? No. Glad? Yes.

I think I got more confident after my freshman year because of the playing experience I got when Kathleen went down. That really helped with my confidence. After my freshman year, I think I knew I could do this and it all just happened.

He's bigger and faster. He's gotten stronger and he's started to fill out. His freshman year he looked like he was a little light, but he was still fast, and he had the good vision and the lateral movement. Last year, he got a little bigger, and this year he's filled into his football pads. He looks like a good, solid varsity football player by size.

Foreign investors are playing a bigger and bigger role in our stock market and in helping the rand stay strong.

Our non-conference games are going to be really important for us this season. Saint Mary's spoiled Senior Night last year when they had a fantastic team. This year, they're a team that is certainly playing better than they were the first part of the conference season.
