We had some real ordsprog

We had some real good streaks where we combined defense and offense and that provided us a gap. We haven't done a lot of that all year.

He goes through streaks every year, good streaks offensively and defensively. He was very diligent during Spring Training. He's got a great swing path working right now, and just happens to be swinging the bat real well.

They carried their momentum and enthusiasm throughout the year. They never hit much of a slump. People ask about our club, and I say we're still going to have winning streaks and losing streaks that could happen at any time. The ideal thing is to just be consistent. They had good enough pitching where they never had long losing streaks.

We had streaks last year where we were good at putting the goals in and streaks where we dried up.

We really haven't played a full 40 minutes of good defense all year but we did that tonight. And we had lots of steals and took them out of their offense.

Winning streaks are impressive because it's a model of consistency. Streaks mean you haven't let your guard down and you've taken care of business when everyone knows what a difficult task that is.

It definitely doesn't seem like there's one team really jumping out there to take the initiative to run away with this thing, which is good for us because we're behind San Diego. So we're just going to go out there and keep playing hard and hopefully we can get on one of those winning streaks that we haven't had all year.

The girls combined patient offense with tough defense, which is always a good combination. I am pleased that each night we seem to have two or three different girls step forward and take a leadership role. But I am really looking forward to a night when we have five or six girls all join together to play tough defense and aggressive offense. That will be super.

I know for a fact we haven't played better than this in two years than we did today against a real, real, real good team. Some days we have played better defense, some days we have played better offense, but today was one of those magical days where everything just seemed to go right for us. Our offense is behind, and we've been working on it every day. This is not the first time we've had to start over. Last year we were fortunate to have those seniors. This year we're back to normal. The defense is good, and the offense will catch up.

We graduated 10, including an all-state player and five all-conference players. Last year we really had the horses to lay on the offense. This year, we have an organized defense, which is good. Our midfield is still trying to find itself. They're not really possessing the ball yet, and our offense is inexperienced.

We haven't shot well all year long. We put a game together where our offense and our defense were pretty stout.

Streaks don't mean anything. We have snapped some pretty long streaks this year. What we did in the past doesn't mean a whole lot. It's what we do this weekend and how we prepare that is going to matter.
