She didn't give up a lot of solid hits. I think in time she's going to be a strikeout pitcher again. All that matters is not how many strikeouts she gets. She shut them out.

She pitcher very well. She had four walks, but she scattered them. For the first time this season, we played a complete game. We had timely hits and the defense was very, very solid.

Maybe you've got to give their pitcher some credit, because he shut us down. We haven't been shut down like that all year. Maybe he had something to do with that. You got to give him credit.

Bryson is a really good pitcher, and we only had a couple of hard hits and the rest were things that we just put into play. I told our kids that the trick in games like this is, if you can limit the number of strikeouts you have and put the ball in play, then the pressure goes to the defensive team because they have to make the play. He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him.

We did a good job building an inning. We got some big base hits and putting the ball in play is always big. We didn't strikeout, and we moved runners around the bases.

I expect to win every time I go out. The way I would draw it up would be exactly like tonight not very many strikeouts, no walks and a few hits. For the most part, I was pretty efficient.

He's not very big, but he can bring it. The first time we faced him at Dexter, he had about 12 strikeouts, but we made the best of our limited opportunities. Today he didn't give us any opportunities.

It was beautiful. She was totally dominant (in the circle). She didn't get a lot of strikeouts, but she hit her spots and kept them off-balance. They didn't hit the ball hard and the defense was solid behind her. I was very happy with our defense today.
