You want your best guys in there. We've had a lot of injuries, it's unfortunate. But that's the time of the year. A lot of guys are banged up.

That fumble really killed us. That and injuries. You can only dress 18 guys in this league, and it seemed like we got everybody hurt tonight. We're banged up on the offensive line, and we'll just have to try to get some healthy guys in here to protect the quarterback.

We're a little banged up right now with some injuries to key runners. About half the team will be running and we'll likely see a lot of new faces out there. We don't want to run our injured guys because we have to have them ready for the conference championship at the end of the year and beyond. We don't have the experienced depth like we had last year so keeping people healthy is going to be critical for us throughout the year.

It was a black mark for hockey, but for a lot of guys, it was a blessing in disguise as they could rest up. There's quite a few guys in the NHL that really benefited from the lay-off. On our team, we had a deep playoff run and we had guys like Lombardi (concussion) who got banged up. That time off, it helps, and guys could physically and mentally recover.

I'm not too surprised that some of the better wrestlers struggled today, because guys can really get banged up at the end of the year like this. Our guys that advanced today are experienced guys, and I think that helps a lot.

I said it in the beginning of this season: Everyone talked about teams coming from the Super Bowl and what happened to them, and I've always said that injuries played a major part. The thing is they got guys that are willing to make a three-year commitment, which I think is tremendous. We had guys that committed and then all of a sudden 9/11 happened, and then there were injuries.
