He did a lot of good things during his tenure here. Fred built a strong relationship between the organization, the fans and the Booster Club. We wish him the best of success in his new venture, and at the same time, we know Todd will continue to strengthen the Cotton Kings organization.

We're going to anything we need to do to strengthen our organization. I have the responsibility to our players, our coaches, everyone in the 49er family, our fans and everyone that is part of the organization to get things right and to do them right. That's the job I was handed. That's the job I need to do.

Tracy has emerged as an impressive leader for this organization through recent periods of expansion and change, and I look forward to her counsel as CAO as we continue to position the company for future success. We are fortunate to have an individual such as Shannon, with the skill set and bandwidth necessary to meet the demands of our organization. Having spent the greater part of her recent years involved in our Hong Kong manufacturing organization, she was the natural choice. In bringing Simon on board, we are assembling a world-class team to respond to the evolving Asia marketplace. Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness. We've had tremendous success throughout the organization from a player-development standpoint, ... One of the things that made this organization great was to have our own players. Despite the fact we're in the position we're in, this is an exciting time for us because right now we're just starting to see a few of those guys break through the surface.

I think the main qualities that made this job attractive to me were the commitment by the front office to winning, and to building an organization for the long term. I look forward to building an organization that people can be proud of, that's built with character, that's built with toughness, built with discipline.

It's going to take more than one group or organization to bring about change. It's going to take the mothers, the fathers, the clergy, government and all of the alliances as a whole, to continue the legacies of the Doctor Kings, the Rosa Parks and the Coretta Scott Kings.

We want to congratulate Fred on a tremendous basketball career. Fred is going to be an outstanding asset to this organization whether it be working with the basketball staff, or using his business skill set to help us on the corporate end of things.

Adam played a tremendous role for us during the time he was here and represented the Kings at the highest levels both on and off the ice. This will be a great opportunity for our fans to show their appreciation for his true dedication and outstanding play during his time with our organization.

We see each other during the summer all the time, we're good friends. He had some really, really nice things to say about St. Louis and about to the organization and the fans. He really liked it here.

I apologize to Alex Rodriguez, his family, his fans, the New York Yankee organization, to the White Sox organization. That's the first time I feel like I did something wrong. I've been in a lot of controversial things before, but I think I started this one and I'm going to finish it. ... What I did to Alex was wrong. He can do whatever he wants. If he wants to play for Japan, fine for him.

We're real. The ladies that join the club and come to the convention all like to have a good time together and form friendships. And other than The Bob Club, I don't know of any organization with the only qualification being your name.

Were very pleased to have Lauri under contract at this time. Kings fans will enjoy his robust style of play. He brings a nice mix of skill and determination to the rink each night. We look forward to him to his continued development in our organization.

I think the organization deserves better than what they have had for six or seven or 10 years. This is an organization that has seen great, great success, and we don't want to be the ones that have allowed it to go unsuccessful for so long. With Coach Gibbs coming back, that was a step to getting back to the success. We want to win games for a man who's been good to us and very loyal to us.

It's definitely a great day for Devils' fans and the organization and Scotty being the first and building some history with the organization. It's well deserved. Seeing what the Rangers are doing all the time, when you look at what our captain did, it's a little more impressive as far as numbers with winning three Stanley Cups and getting to the Finals four times.

The Kings are very pleased to make a long-term commitment to Alex. He is a very gifted offensive player who, at just 23 years of age, has already made significant contributions to our organization. He has a lot of great years ahead of him and he loves playing in Los Angeles. Our fans will certainly be very happy to see him in a Kings uniform for not only next year but beyond as well.
