That chemistry can come ordsprog

en That chemistry can come into it. If you know one guy is there to make the tackle, then you can say, 'I know my buddy's got the tackle, now I can try to strip the ball out.' That does go hand in hand, and the turnovers will come. I don't know when they're going to come, but if we continue to fly to the ball and hit people, we're going to get them.

en We stressed all week long that we've got to help our offense out and help ourselves out by causing turnovers. The first guy makes a tackle, the second, third and fourth guy has to strip (the ball). We worked our pursuit drill and getting to the ball and that's what we did.

en One of those first two screens, he might of taken it a long way if he doesn't have those blue numbers. A touch or a little hand tackle isn't going to tackle Adrian.

en If I get put in the same position, would I make the same tackle? ... Yes. I've been doing it since I was a little kid. It's a secure tackle. I do what I have to do. A tackle is a tackle. You've been taught to bring down an opponent by any means necessary.

en They usually just take the guy who is blocking them, throw them out of the way and make the tackle. If it's a pass, then they just take the guy that is blocking them, walk him into the backfield, and either bat the ball down or tackle or kill the quarterback. And they do a lot of that.

en I love that guy, man. He runs so hard. I hand that ball off, turn around, and he hits guys and just punishes them. He is such a big, strong, tough back, and he makes those defenders pay for every tackle. I wouldn't trade him for anybody.

en You put your hand in the dirt, you got a guy sitting right there, you have to block him. You don't block him, what does it make any difference whether you are playing right guard, right tackle, left guard or left tackle? You have to move the guy. I think we are overrating anything that we have done, because we are totally missing the point.

en We tried to take away some of the things they really like to do, and the quick game is something they like, so we put a guy up there to take it away. Then we tried to just tackle him. If they threw the ball to him, he was going to get his catches — so just tackle him.

en We're going to be revisiting that in practice and we're going to tackle and tackle and tackle until these guys can tackle in their sleep. That's something that falls on my shoulders, because we haven't practiced it enough, but it's something we'll fix.

en I haven't made a single tackle all year. I have missed a couple of chances, but I really haven't had many chances. I just stuck my head in there trying to make a tackle and the ball popped loose.

en He lined up out of position. That means instead of being two yards from the ball carrier, you might be seven, and then what should be an easy tackle near the line becomes an attempted tackle in the open field, and a 2-yard gain turns into 10.

en All opportunity to tackle is about the way we finish to the ball. We show up, everyone always chasing the ball. We want to be in position where our hips are down, our knees are down. We tag off on the ball (at the ball carrier.) That's how we practice tackling.

en I said to the players that their accomplishment is extraordinary in winning three of four Super Bowls. But they know as well as anybody that a bounce of the ball here or a missed tackle there or a tackle that was made by grabbing a guy's jersey, those are the small margins of victory.

en Your left hand is still pretty important. Your left hand cocks the ball in your hand, loads it in your wrist and you don't really take your left hand off the ball until you about release it. So you still have to have pretty good range of motion on your left hand.

en You've got to always want the ball, ... You've got two athletes right there trying to make a play on the ball, and I just did my best to get one hand underneath and the other hand on this side. Luck was on my side. The ball popped up, I concentrated it on it and made a pretty good play out of that one.
