You put your hand in the dirt, you got a guy sitting right there, you have to block him. You don't block him, what does it make any difference whether you are playing right guard, right tackle, left guard or left tackle? You have to move the guy. I think we are overrating anything that we have done, because we are totally missing the point.

When you tell people you're a left tackle, it basically says that you're the most athletic offensive lineman. To hold that position down, it's a sense of pride. You can get away with having a guard who's not as good. You can't get away with having a bad left tackle.

We weren't quite good enough. We didn't block well enough or tackle well enough and that was the difference in the ball game. A little block here, a little tackle there.

It's like a football team that doesn't know how to block and tackle. It doesn't make much sense to spend time learning plays if they can't block and tackle.

If their job's to block, they block. If their job's to tackle, they tackle. A football player's a football player. You've got a job to do, you do it. There's no class system. Everybody's got to block. Everybody's got to tackle.

I think he's a really important piece to this whole puzzle. He can play right tackle, he can play left guard, he can play right guard. He's done it since he's been here. I've asked him to do it since he's been here.

All of the guys that are here right now are having to learn two or three spots. We don't have the luxury right now of saying, 'You're the left tackle, you're the right guard. We're going to work out a couple guys and see if we can find somebody to fill that spot. That's why it's good that the game is on Sunday and not (yesterday). I think that the backup center-guard is not as valuable as the backup tackle spot. So if you can get a backup tackle that you like and that has some upside, I think you can go ahead and make that move.
