It felt good to be out there. I wish the outcome was different. Hopefully (Saturday) night we can contain Brand better. He was hot tonight.

He had someone close to him die over in Iraq. It was something that bothered him. He didn't let us know about it until after the game. I felt for him a lot more Saturday night than I did Saturday afternoon (before knowing). I felt for him that he tried to hold it all in.

Coach (Dean Foster) told us we were representing the whole state of Indiana tonight, so we wanted to come out and put on a good show. We felt like we didn't play very well last night (Friday against St. Joseph's), so we felt we had something to prove out here tonight.

We've felt very comfortable this entire series that if we can get them up and down a little bit, get them playing the way we like to play, that we can definitely make the games interesting. We did it Saturday night. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. Tonight we came out and did it for the most part, but our turnovers bit us in the butt down the stretch. We feel that we match up with this team pretty good. We showed here at home that if we play the right way, we'll be fine.

For whatever reason, I felt I struggled in the first half Wednesday night, ... But I felt good in the second half, and I felt good tonight. I had a good morning skate and got some sleep.

We have to finish the season on a good note. It doesn't matter what the outcome of the game is, but we have to feel good about ourselves. I don't think we felt like that tonight. We have a lot of guys who are injured so we need to get healthy and ready.

I am e-mailing you to apologize to you for my poor decision regarding Saturday night's loss. The words I spoke were out of anger and not how I truly felt. ... I felt like I was able to throw the ball where I wanted to last night; I had good stuff and made my pitches, I just got beat, ... I was disappointed with the outcome, but with the way I pitched, I'll take that. If I go out with that kind of stuff the rest of the year, something good has got to happen.

Last night was very good for us because it really showed it's connected with the core Saturday night group as evidenced by an increase of about 60 percent from Friday to Saturday, ... Now we're where it should be to be performing at the healthiest level we could have imagined. It continues to capture the imagination of the American public.

Our mind-set is to win (tonight) and to win Saturday night. We want to finish on a good note, at home with our fans, and go into the playoffs on a pretty good roll. We don't think about Alaska and what's going on with them. Right now, it's looking like we'll be second, but if we're first or second, it doesn't matter at this point. We're looking pretty good, and playing together.
