en He not only understands the defensive concepts we're trying to accomplish, he understands what the offense is thinking, too. So I can position him mentally to take the strains off of our linebackers and the rest of the secondary. I can put all the mental cover-down rules on him.

en For our seniors, it was a combination of joy and relief. They realized this was their last chance to get a district title. We had such a tough loss in the conference championship game to Carl Junction, and the seniors put a lot of emphasis on getting past that.

en I am very proud of these seniors. It truly shows what dedication to your sport and hard work can accomplish.

en It allows our linebackers to really be a factor. It allows them to rush the quarterback and then drop back into coverage. Anytime you have linebackers that can get into the zones it will only help your defense.
